My Magazine represents mostly teenage girls because I have used a lot of bright colours on the front cover, which attracts girls mostly more than it would attract boys. Also because a lot of the artists mensioned on the front cover and contents page are very popular with teenage girls, which would gain a lot of interest from them. The language I included is also used and refered to as the type of language teenagers usually use as there is quite a lot of slang and shortened words which teenagers can refer to. The music styles and genres I have included also contribute to attracting the target audiences because they are some of the most popular genres that teenagers and young adults listen to for example pop, alternative rock and RnB. I think my magazine reflects some of the music magazines I reviewed as in that it is trageted at a similar audience and I have chosen to use similar colours, which would attract the same audience. I also think the layout of my magazine is appropriate because it is layed out quite simply and it is easy for teenagers to read and explore what is inside and the content included.

I think this image especially highlights the ways in which I have made my magazine appealing to this social group because you can see that they like bright, fun colours and having fun.
