Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to full product?

I feel like I have learnt a lot about how to create a magazine according to the target audience. I feel that I have learnt a lot about all the different factors of a magazine, which have to be put together in order to create a professional final product. I think I also learnt a lot about how to lay out a magazine professionally, because I have conducted a lot of research in to the style and content used in order to create a house style for my magazine. I created this House style by using the same colours, content and font styles throughout the magazine. I have also learnt a lot about how to use photoshop, because I had never used it before this assignment and I feel like I now have the skills to create further media products on photoshop. I also think I have learnt more about taking professional photos to go inside my magazine because even though I have used cameras many times before, I got to experiment more with different viewpoints and shot types, which will further improve my skills for the future. I have also learnt that it is important to take surveys and conduct a lot of research into what your target audience may like in a magazine. For example, from my survey, a few of the things I found out were that teenagers wanted a variety of busy and simple layouts, colours like blue, purple, red, pink and yellow and about what artists and music they would like to see included.
